CTET is a national-level examination that assesses the eligibility of candidates to teach in central government schools (like Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas) as well as in some state government schools. The test is conducted in two papers:

Paper I: For candidates aspiring to teach classes I to V (Primary Stage).

Paper II: For those intending to teach classes VI to VIII (Upper Primary Stage).

For Paper II (Classes VI-VIII):

Candidates must have completed their graduation with at least 50% marks and should possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree or equivalent.
